The Chain of Trades
Start here. Every object in the city is the last link in a chain of trades. This room follows three chains end to end: a building from survey to occupancy, a ship from keel to sea trial, and a hotel from groundbreaking to its first guest. The numbers wall beside them asks the economist's questions: what the trades pay, how many people they need, and who is missing.
