Electrician

What. An electrician brings power from the street to the switch, safely, to a code that is rewritten every three years because electricity does not forgive.

Tools. Linesman pliers, strippers, fish tape, conduit bender, multimeter, non-contact tester, torque screwdriver, the NEC codebook.

A day. Pull the permit drawings. Bend and hang conduit. Pull wire. Land conductors on breakers and devices. Test: continuity, insulation, ground. Label the panel. Call for inspection.

Pay. $48k entry to $105k experienced; industrial and high-voltage work pays more.

Path. Universal core → DC/AC theory → NEC → conduit → residential → commercial → motors & controls → PLC intro. Credentials: NCCER Electrical L1–4, OSHA 10, then the state journeyman exam after apprenticeship hours.

Why it matters. Every tower in Series C is a stack of electrical rooms. No electrician, no elevator, no light, no data.
