Objective. Students achieve the program passing threshold on a final round of full-length mock exams, complete Certiport candidate registration, and demonstrate exam-day strategies so they are fully prepared to sit the official Adobe Certified Professional credential exams.
This lesson, its worked examples and its practice questions has not yet been verified by an industry-certified professional or by a certification or approval body. It is a study draft and may contain errors. Do not use it as instructions for work on a job site or on live equipment. Always follow your instructor, your supervising professional, and current official references and regulations.
VoTechWorks program approval and accreditation are still in progress. Credentials are issued only by the certifying bodies named in each program, after their own exams.
You have spent months building skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. This lesson is the bridge between practice and the official Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) credential exams. Three things happen here: you prove your readiness on full-length timed mock exams, you complete your live Certiport candidate registration, and you lock in the strategies that keep you calm and efficient on exam day. None of these steps is optional — each one directly affects whether you walk out with a portable, employer-recognized credential.
Each mock exam runs at the same length and time limit as the official ACP exam for that application. You must score 75% or higher on each application's mock to receive instructor sign-off for live exam registration. That threshold is not arbitrary — it mirrors the preparation level that gives you a realistic chance of passing the live exam.
If you score below 75% on any application, you complete a focused one-hour remediation targeting the specific domains where you dropped points, then take one additional attempt within the same lesson block. Your instructor will document both the score and the remediation plan. You will not be cleared to schedule that specific live exam until you meet the threshold — this protects you from a failed attempt and an unnecessary retake fee.
During the mock exam, treat the room exactly like a real testing center: silence your phone, close every browser tab except the exam platform, and do not communicate with other students. These habits matter because real testing centers enforce them strictly.
ACP exams are delivered through Certiport, a third-party credentialing and testing platform. You must create a Certiport account before you can sit the exam, whether the exam is delivered at your school's on-site Certiport center or at an authorized off-site location.
Registration steps your instructor will walk through with you:
1. Navigate to certiport.com and select Register.
2. Create a username and a strong password, and enter your legal name exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID — the testing center will check this at check-in.
3. Select your exam program (Adobe Certified Professional) and the specific application exam you are scheduling.
4. Choose your testing center and appointment time.
5. Review the candidate agreement, including the retake policy, before submitting.
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to your appointment. Most centers accept a driver's license, state ID, or passport. Student IDs alone are generally not sufficient — confirm the accepted forms with your specific testing center in advance.
At the testing center, you will surrender personal items (bags, phones, unauthorized scratch paper) before entering the testing room. The proctor will verify your ID, seat you at an assigned station, and start your exam session. You will not be permitted to leave the testing room during the exam.
Certiport publishes a retake policy for ACP exams. Policies can change, so always read the current candidate agreement on the Certiport website before scheduling. Understanding the policy before you sit the exam — not after a failed attempt — is the professional approach.
ACP exams include both multiple-choice and performance-based items. Performance-based items ask you to complete a real task inside a live application file. They take longer than multiple-choice items and carry significant weight.
For performance-based items:
For multiple-choice items:
In your practice set today, you will time yourself on 15 mixed-format items without the strategy, then apply the strategy on a second set and compare your completion times. Most students find they finish faster and feel less rushed when they follow a structured approach.
Testing centers are professional environments. Follow all proctor instructions immediately. Do not attempt to photograph exam content — doing so violates the candidate agreement and can result in score cancellation and a ban from future Certiport exams. Ergonomically, adjust your chair and monitor before the exam begins if possible; you cannot pause the timer to do so mid-exam. If you experience a technical problem during the exam, raise your hand and notify the proctor — do not attempt to fix the workstation yourself.
You exit this lesson with three artifacts: a mock exam score of 75% or higher for each targeted ACP credential, a Certiport registration confirmation, and a completed exam-day checklist. These are your proof of readiness. Your instructor collects all three before clearing you. If you are missing any one of them, that item becomes your immediate next action before scheduling the live exam.
Answer each question, then check it. Nothing is recorded; this is your own practice.
